Stay With the Maasai, Support the Community
Mara Moon is located on land owned by the Ola Baai Maasai community, with whom we’ve worked for over 30 years. By staying with us, you directly support this community and help carry their heritage into the future. Part of your accommodation fee goes towards education and healthcare for the Ola Baai people.
You’ll meet our team—local Maasai who are proud to share their home with you. They’re happy to take you on a walk, help you spot wildlife, or simply make you feel at home. Come and experience the warm, personal atmosphere that makes Mara Moon so special.
nature, right at your doorstep
A Wildlife Corridor Like No Other
Our property sits on an ancient migratory corridor, where elephants pass peacefully over the hills without having to climb. It’s also a place where elephant mothers come to give birth. To preserve this natural route, we’ve kept the land fence-free, just as it has always been.
It’s not unusual to see elephants, zebra, giraffes, or impalas wandering across the property—especially at dusk. It’s nature, right at your doorstep.
At home in nature
For your safety, we’ve enclosed the immediate 3-acre living area with a fence, and/or our Maasai watchmen are on site 24/7. This way, you can enjoy your stay close to nature.
